Fairbanks' Food Public Review

FAIRBANKS- Most food that we see at our dinner table is probably imported and some groups say, that's bad for the economy (and your health), and it could be unsafe during a statewide disaster. Last night, the Alaska Food Policy Council wanted to see the pros and cons of Fairbanks's food system. They asked the public to organize their opinions into different categories and create a wish list. The council will use these ideas to update their strategic plan for 2015. They've also travelled to Nome and Juneau, and next they go to Bethel because they want to create a current "picture" of Alaska's food system.
