Fairbanks woman arrested for allegedly embezzling thousands of dollars from employer

FAIRBANKS- A Fairbanks woman, accused of embezzling thousands of dollars from her employers, was arraigned this afternoon in Fairbanks District Court.

38-year-old Theresa Hollens is charged with theft, scheme to defraud, and falsifying business records.

Alaska State Troopers say Hollens stole the large amounts of money from her employer, Riverview Quick Stop.

The Alaska Bureau of Investigation's Financial Crimes Unit confirmed the allegations and arrested Hollens on an outstanding warrant.

She was arraigned this afternoon and bail was set at 20 thousand dollars.

Hollens will appear again in Fairbanks Superior Court September 2nd.
