The First musher has crossed the finish line of the Yukon Quest. Matt Hall is the 2017 Yukon Quest Champ. The 25 year old musher originally from Eagle who now lives in Two Rivers crossed the finish line a little after noon today. Hall is one of the youngest to ever win the Yukon Quest. He has been running dogs most of his life and His father competed in the Yukon Quest. This was Hall's fourth Yukon Quest, he finished in fourth last year. To win this year he beat the last three champions in Hugh Neff, Brent Saas and Allen Moore. Hall won Rookie of the year in 2014. He has also won the Challenge of the North award in 2014 and the Veterinarians choice award in both 2014 and 2016. This was Hall's first time completing the Quest going from Whitehorse to Fairbanks.
