Ice Dogs head out on the road

The Ice Dogs are taking their winning streak out on the road for the next two weeks. The first two games will be against the Minnesota Magicians. The surging Ice Dogs have won six in a row and nine of their last ten games. This streak has taken them from the outside of the playoff picture to right in the middle of it. They are in third place in the division and the Magicians are nine points ahead of them in second place. The Ice Dogs won't be able to catch them but they could close the gap significantly. During the win streak Josh Benson has started five of the games and has only allowed three goals during those five games. The other game was started by newly acquired Erik Gordon who ranks fifth among qualified goalies in the NAHL in goals against average with 2.28. Marc Sullivan is coming off a good weekend where he scored a game winning goal and had an assist in one game and then two assists in the other game. His performance earned him the Midwest division star of the week. The Magicians have been on a little bit of a slide recently losing four of their last six games. The puck will drop for the first game tomorrow at 3:15 Alaska time and then at 3:05 for the second game on Saturday.
