Nanooks prepare for final home games of the season

This weekend the Nanooks will play their final home games of the hockey season. Te first game with Lake Superior State will be tomorrow. The Nanooks have had a rough stretch losing three of their last four games and were shut out in both games last weekend against Northern Michigan. Those losses dropped the Nooks to a tie for eighth in the standings but only two points separate eighth place from fifth place in the conference. The Nanooks trail in the all time series with the Lakers. They have a record of 21–36-6 in the series. Chad Staley and Marcus Basara are tied for the lead in points on the team, each with 18. The Saturday night game will be senior night for the four seniors on the roster. Basara, Josh Erickson, Brandon Morley and Davis Jones will play their final home game for the Nanooks.
